So, I didn't get my issue of Secret Avengers yet, but I did get the first issue of the new Black Widow series today! There's not really anything to spoil, since it's mostly setup for the series that we already know through the basic premise of the series. It was a nice little setup for the series, though, showing the kinds of missions Widow's going to go on. She gets to do some her of usual cool superspy stuff, even using a rocket launcher! It's kinda funny that she has some lawyer with a bow-tie setting up her jobs, but I get the feeling all these secret jobs she does are gonna get her in some real trouble down the road. Which will end up being more fun, of course.
@Hawk: Yeah, I really hope it's the brainwashing. I might not be an obsessive Bobbi fan like you, but I'd still prefer not to have her be a crazy psychic cultist. I'm weird like that.
This issue of Widow showed up about a week after it released, so I can't be too far behind on my comics right now. Secret Avengers will probably be coming soon then. Yeah, anything's better than SpOck. Peter coming back and seeing the different way Ock handled being Spidey might lead to some interesting stuff for him, too, so something good could come of all this nonsense, at least. My Secret Avengers and All-New X-Men subscriptions are both ending pretty soon, so I'm not totally sure what the plan is. I'm kinda waiting to get a full-time job before I start spending money on comics or anything.
Yeah, it is pretty cool that the Guardians will have their own cartoon. They could do some awesome stuff with Rocket and Groot and all of them, if they get some good writers. Which, sadly, is a big "if" with Marvel's animation right now. A Guardians cartoon written by the EMH writers would be a fun show, that's for sure...
